Ray came to do our home inspection, which immediately turned into an educational session with Ray leading me through the best ways to care for and protect my home and investment. He is whip smart, caring, and professional. I’ve been so impressed with the convenience of his website, the pdf for our inspection, and photos and links included in his report. Having dealt with several different inspection companies in several different states; I would say that Blue Palmetto was the most detailed and thorough of them all. The inspector went beyond the parameters that any other company did.
We didn’t know who to go with with our home purchase so we asked our realtor for a recommendation and went with it. We’re extremely happy we did. Ray is simply awesome. He has an old-school work ethic that is amazing. He was on time, extremely thorough and down to earth about his findings. He was all over that house. He found things about a “perfect” house that prompted us to hire a structural engineer. The structural engineer confirmed what Ray said, the house was sound but needed some repairs. The difference is Ray found more discrepancies than the engineer did and submitted a professional, comprehensive report he emailed us at 11 PM that day. The engineer charged more, found less and gave us a phone call and a two paragraph report. We will definitely rehire Ray for the followup inspection.
